This article comes from an interview conducted with Stephanie Zelinko, AgroLiquid National Agronomist.
AgroLiquid has added new crop nutrition products to their lineup after acquiring Monte's plant food company. I spoke with Stephanie Zelinko, AgroLiquid's National Agronomist, about what these products could add to your crops.
"The six different ones, Monty's liquid carbon is kind of the main product that's a humic acid. They're that same exact product but in a dry form. And then we have a couple of supporting products to go with that. Ones that contain fulvic acids with it, a sugar product along with a NPK product that kind of fits along with what AgroLiquid has been doing. So all of these products designed to improve uptake of nutrition. It's going to help with the holding capacity in the soil, both water and nutrients. And because of that, they work really, really well with AgroLiquid nutritional line, just helping make the products that are already putting out more effective," Zelinko said.
Zelinko spoke about the main question they get when it comes to these new products.
"You know, the big question we get is, okay, margins are tight. Do I want to spend more money? And we look at these humic simple, like from that soil health side and improving the uptake of those nutrients we already have. And so it is going to cost a little bit more per acre, but it's going to also make those dollars that you're currently spending on fertility more effective. So it's going to just help make sure that we're getting more of what we apply into that crop," Zelinko said.
When it comes to handling these products, Zelinko recommended working closely with a professional.
"It's very difficult. Like there's a lot of moving pieces, you know, whatever talking
fertility or the, you know, humic side of things. Work with somebody that works with it every day. So find that expert that's trained in this. Use them kind of as that counselor through that.
Our website has a lot of good information. Utilize those tools, just so you can figure out what
that best option is for your operation. Again, that was Stephanie Zelinko, AgroLiquid's
National Agronomist," Zelinko said.
