The contents of this blog are derived from my interview with Nick Bancroft, CEO- AgroLiquid, and Jeff Sangalli, CEO- Monty's Plant Food.
As of January 1st, 2025, AgroLiquid has officially acquired Monty's Plant Food Company, bringing together two family-founded businesses with a shared farmer-first philosophy. This strategic merger aims to leverage the strengths of both companies, enhancing their ability to provide innovative nutrient and soil health technologies to growers across the United States.
Nick Bancroft, CEO of AgroLiquid, and Jeff Sangalli, CEO of Monty's Plant Food Company, discussed the reasons behind the acquisition and its benefits. They emphasized that both companies have complementary mission statements focused on prospering farmers, making the merger a natural fit.
As the 2025 growing season approaches, both CEOs assured customers that it would be business as usual, with no disruptions expected during the spring season. The integration of the two companies will be carefully planned and executed later in the year.
The acquisition brings opportunities to learn from each other's advanced technologies and improve processes and procedures. It also combines teams with diverse backgrounds and experiences, providing greater leverage and knowledge as they go to market.
Looking beyond the 2025 season, AgroLiquid and Monty's Plant Food Company remain committed to innovating in plant and soil health. Their goal is to introduce new technologies that will help growers achieve higher yields and greater sustainability.
